To be an artist ...to work from the heart...they were my goals. But maybe I took on more than my heart can take....to paint 100 pelicans. Maybe if all the people who are in any kind of power with this oil spill in our GUlf ....the CEO's and even our President all all ....should take this on also.To paint 100 of any of the animals that are being killed as I write this.To paint to see to visit to study to see all they have to offer .

Perhaps if more people painted or photographed or drew or wrote about nature they would feel more connected to it. And if they were more connected they would be less inclined to try and manipulate, control and ultimately, destroy it. When we destroy nature we destroy ourselves.

Beautiful work.

I am coming to your blog today from the Artists Blog Hop and this is an older post but I felt compeled to say something no matter how futile and small it may sound in comparison to the magnitude of the Gilf disaster. We as artists are left with the task of opening eyes to the world around them...keep on going my friend you are on the only track that makes sense!
Hugs,
Beth
